Just wanted to add that a lot of encoders feel better if you replace the knob itself with a weighty metal one. I did that on the AK (sound selection knob) and it feels 200% better. I replaced the smaller knobs as well with metal but lightweight ones, and I’d say they feel 50% better

Akai Force (and presumably the MPC-X) - super smooth with a lovely resistance (maybe they’ve got oil in or something?). They’re touch sensitive too so you can have a parameter snap back to zero or previous value when you let go! Or tap them like a button to toggle params between two values. Great idea and really handy for custom performance macros!
What was the shaft size for those? (both big and small knobs) I really like the look of the small knobs in particular.
