The Behringer Gear-in-progress Thread

Available to order means it’s fair to assume within 6 months.

yeah - so without a signal plugged in it probably normals to a small static voltage thus allowing the fine control over the parameter

Pre-ordered. I was in search of an acidish Synth (I know it can do a lot more), this one sounds nice to me. My first Behringer ever.

You mean 3340, no?

I did yeah, just a typo!

Interesting that they introduced this before Spice has hit the market. I wonder if they had the same thought I did, that the Subharmonicon is honestly a lot more niche of an instrument than the other two Moogs the Crave and Edge are based on, and maybe a trio needed something different to sell in the volume Behringer has its sights set on. (Not that I don’t expect Spice to still come out, but I think it could be a more limited run.)

That said, Grind in a 3-tier rack with Crave and Edge looks like a massive amount of semi-modular fun for under $600.

Sounds good and as expected it’s missing a bit of modulation to move away from your traditional mono synth bass/lead. One more envelope wouldn’t hurt but for the price …

Can someone tell if it can drone with open VCA or VCA bypass ?

Manual’s already online:

Here’s just the video for you:

Premiere is in 5 minutes.

Thanks.

Am I understanding correctly that done mode is VCA ON?

  1. VCA MODE – Select envelope, and the VCA is modulated by the envelope. In the ON position, the VCA output is the last key played, and is independent of envelope. Select LPG to
replace the VCA with a Low Pass Gate.

Also the vcf has an LPG mode according to the manual, which sounds interesting but are they mistaking with the VCA? I don’t see LPG written on the vcf mode switch and anything written on the filter section of the manual…

  1. MODE – Select the VCF filter type from
    low-pass, high-pass or LPG.

us the CVs from the A4

They should make euro modules out of this lineup.

You mean the one from my neighbor :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

But I’ve the Oxi one that does that pretty well with my DFAM.

Can’t hurt to have 2 LPGs, though.

Speaking of which, perfect circuit has an excellent article on LPGs, complete with lots of nice sound clips. Didn’t know they had such great content.

Why did the other Grind thread get closed?

It’s available to preorder at places like Andertons

I immediately thought of Plaits. I suspect further reading may confirm my suspicions

It’s based on their Brains eurorack module , which is based on plaits with a few little extras.
