The Behringer Gear-in-progress Thread

This lack of tuning is often somewhat overstated. A well-maintained VCS3 or Synthi’s playable range wasn’t any better or worse than others of the era. My VCS3 is nearly 50 years old, but once scaled and tuned it is more stable than my new Model-10.

But you also keep your VCS3 at one place and don’t drag it around the world like Jarre did, under stage conditions (warm, cold, humidity etc).

Here´s part of that Jarre documentary:

Yeah I’ve seen that. And indeed, that was the failing of many of those original early synths.

I love that attitude.

It doesn’t have memory, so I need a few of them.

Baller.

Interesting, they’ve not gone with the SEM filter but rather the Matrix 6/1000 CEM3396 ‘synth on a chip’ as it’s been called. I’ve got a few of those in the spares stash. Did they explicitly say the UBXa would have the SEM style filter?

No mention of voice count or polyphony/paraphony either. Could this be a mono?

For sure, that’s welcomed - as long as the filter is close it could be a sweet sidekick to its siblings

I’ve been wondering about this for a long time.

From the Facebook page :

In 2019, Hiroaki Nishijima, the legendary inventor of the Korg MS-20, joined us to develop the next generation of Japanese synthesizers.

This looks to be in the “Soul” line, you’d think it’s analog, but no other detail given. The keyboard is in a black color, which is new.

This is more of a tease than an announcement. $ 99 ??
