They usually release things on Thursdays so my guess is that is when it will be available.
Air seems to be working pretty hard by releasing something at least once a month at this point.
These are really shaping up to be quite powerful production suites. I wonder how much will be available on the platform a year from now…

I just looked in I can’t believe they have had over seventy plug ins all ready!! It is kind of crazy and I don’t even want to think how much money I have spent on plug ins… lol

I think they already made these plugs ahead of time & then they plan out the release schedule for the year. I doubt they’re working each to produce a new plugin.
If they plan on getting into mastering, will they create some sort of Mastering Mode/menu that will make Mastering an album worth of tracks at once?

That’s a great idea. They could make a ‘mastering’ variation on the Arranger that would be perfect for it.

I’ve got serious gotta-catch-em-all-itis with these damn MPC plug-ins. Even with what I already have in Logic Pro and UAD I’m seriously considering buying yet another Pultec emulation I will never use.

Compared to all the other eq’s this thing is crazy good sounding… I have never really used a pulteq though before or emulation, i guess I have pretty low standards. I feel like the hp filter is not really working like a hard wall though, it is more of a roll off I guess?

Def a nice addition prob not worth the money . Plus i have logics pultecs ans uad pultecs readily available on each mpc usb out channel.
Visually rhey look nice and if qlink arrangement is better than the other eqs then its prob a bit more fun to mix with.

The Pultecs are not going to be your first choice for microsurgery, for sure. The curves are, well, curvy. Here’s Sound on Sound’s plot of the HF attenuation curves on a new Pultec reissue with three different corner frequencies.

It’s a tube based system so it boils down to what you like.
- You can drop the low by -(1-2dB )and boost the mid by 1-2dB and have a more forward kick if you isolate your kick onto it.
- You can add gain to the low +(1-2 dB) and cut the mid by 1dB. Move your kick or snare per track into this setting and it just sits right.
A little does a lot even in the plugin world.
