ST drums sound much better than the rytm to me. but that may be because i have an mk1. i love the rytm, but the overall sound of the st, the saturation, and the digital od, the srr, the filters, the machines, all sound so pristine and thick and thumpy to my ears

This was almost a Syntakt science entry for SD Basic but unfortunately kick, hats and bassline were not eligible

Second time around! Just reordered another Syntakt after giving it up 2 years ago. The new Twinshot machine is just too tempting. And looks perfect for a marriage of samples, analog and digital. Donāt need to lug around so many different machines for a gig now!

Syntakt was my first Elektron and I decided to let it go in December since I had other machines and wanted to slim down but 1.40 and the fact that I really missed it a lot because of the speed amongst other stuff made me reorder it as well when 1.40 was announcedā¦ donāt regret that decision at all

Has anyone been able to make a decent 808/909 ish clap using one analog machine? Any tips?
Wow!
Use 2 lfo, one on the amp and the other on lfo1 speed to simulate the rapid clapping , should use noise but you can experiment on the different machines. Also I think you can find decent claps in the factory presets to analyze further

Thanks, I tried that with a few different engines. Getting there, but still far from a 808 let alone 909. Will post an attempt later today if I remember.
I think thereās some YouTube videos out there explaining precisely but donāt remember the keywords , an then now weāve got the twinshot if what you need is the exact 808 or 909 one !
