It’s an exercise in working within limitations. It helps pushing things to new places through experimentation.
That new ST sound
The Chip machine is a ctrl all powerhouse, very fun, also I loved the 480 hz speed which gives you some kind of ring tones, quite a deep synth of its own
Here’s one with an arp, with added rhythmic modulation on the filter cuttoff so it works as an envelope for each of the notes.
Only the 4 new machines used in various way, straight out of the machine
This one is sick
1.30 honeymoon pattern making…
This has Elektron DNA written all over it
Lots of great sounds in here! But I especially love that breathy airy sound in the third clip! Was that SY CHIP?
Straight to EP on Bandcamp!
thank you kindly!
i don’t know which one you mean unfortunately , if it’s one of these
it’s sy tone
if it’s this
it’s four tracks of sy bits
Ah, thank you. It’s the second one - sy bits. Sounds so lush!
Just starting to scratch the surface of the Sy chip machine. Such a fab upgrade to the Syntakt!
Sounds so lovely, nice beat too!
Thank you!
Tried my hand at some higher than normal BPMs (for me) with the Syntakt. I’m digging it
Yan Cook did a video showing a few of his design techniques using just the Syntakt. His channel is one of my favorites, and I was a big fan of his music even before he started doing YT. Makes some real banging stuff.
I’m not sure if you mean this video, but it any case it’s worth sharing. This Yan Cook guy certainly knows how to slam those beats on the Syntakt
This is sick! What’s going on here, i.e. how much is Syntakt, how much post processing etc.?
Thank you!!!
All the sounds except for the vocal are the Syntakt. The only thing on the Syntakt track is a Utility plugin to make it louder.
It’s just a two track, track. The Syntakt on one track via Overbridge and the vocal on another.
On the master channel is an EQ 8 to cut the lowest end. That goes into an Ableton mastering preset and then another EQ 8 to clean up the preset.
The Syntakt sounds amazing on its own, in my opinion.
Fantastic
