You are not. Mimicking rubato would be a dream. Tempo per pattern + song mode and/or direct jump has helped tremendously but ofc its not the same. But this seems to me to be very difficult on digital clock generators: I personally don’t know of any that do something like this (with analog clocks, its a breeze).
