A group of owners of the Dave Smith Instruments Tempest have launched an online petition, asking the company to make updating the operating system of the drum machine a priority.
Signees feel that “there is still a sizable list of problems and glitches to address” with the Tempest.
maybe we, proud users of another piece of equipment that feels like there is still a sizable list of problems and glitches to address, also should try a petition?

still i think, OT 2 is more realistic than a new OS for OT 1

but i’d say: give it a try. i read that about 4000 Tempests are sold.
Most users love it, but would like to see some improvements.
for example for guitarists, it is a totally normal thing to communicate
with manufacteres or to modifiy their instruments according to their style.
why not something similar with synths? we are musicians, too
i think it is important to show the manufacteres, how much you
appreciate their work, but also, how much you care about it and what you
want to do with it, and, by this, keep communicating with them.
i think it is a good thing to keep the development alive.
