what does that mean?
The op1 field has reel to reel, cassette, mini disk etc. they are just tape emulations, but those would be great for the TP7
so what is the difference?
From my point of view I think the TP-7 is an excellent portable high fidelity recorder. Any manipulation to emulate other devices like minidisks, cassette … etc can be done afterwards while keeping the originals in maximum quality. I don’t see it as something very useful.
I’ve seen this ask in other places/ other forums. I think it would be a great addition.
Did you manage to have that fixed? Considering the TP7 for a high quality portable recorder but this makes me hesitant
I contacted the store that I bought it from and they managed the return process and I received a brand new one just the other day. Haven’t had time to test it more than a quick playback and fast-forward test and the old one was definitely defect.
Edit: The original unit I got was from one of the earliest batches for reference. You should absolutely check out the TP7 @Vague_versatile. After using it I can’t see myself without it. You’ll be able to catch thing you wouldn’t otherwise, its’ effortlessly fast.
