I’m assuming I can just read the manual for the EP-133 to learn this thing, since I dont understand any of verbage on the keys. That is the only annoying thing.
IG influencers be like the Latin Revival starts now.
I didn’t pay much attention to the KO when it came out but I was just reading an interview with Jesper Kouthoofd where he said “And we have a really big name that will be the face of this product, a legend.” I was curious and confused what he was talking about, thinking he meant a musical living legend. Then I went to the product page and saw that they actually got the rights to Muhammed Ali and that’s why it’s the “K.O.”
So I guess this series has been themed all along.
Seeing this color palette, I wonder if they are referring to other middle ages, too, like late 60s early seventies.
Thou thinkest not this was comprehensible?
Although “let’s beginneth” - should be “Lat us beginnen” in Middle English (superwise overlord says).
Artificial aroma at best. To me nothing like cocoa or cacao. If not hinted, I would have taken it for an industrial smell from the manufacturing process (not unpleasant, not pleasant).
“Do you smell that?”
“Smell what?”
“There’s a strange smell coming from the EP-1320 boxes we just got off the assembly line.”
“Smells like… Cocoa?”
“…”
“Dude…”
“You thinking what I’m thinking?”
“Hell yeah, let’s put it on the features list!”
Pretty much a transcription of how it happened, I’m certain of this…
Do not underestimate the power of smell.
I was in love with my Monologue smell since I bought it new in 2018. Didn’t use this synth as much as it deserves, but couldn’t sell it (partly) because of this smell. Reminds me my chess computered Kasparov game from the 80’s.
And last year I finally did sell it, as smell gone away after some years.
This is true story. Maybe that should move in a new topic, don’t know …
And Mercedes cars. They still have that great smell after 15 years and 280.000 km.
So, what does a Monologue smell like? Can others confirm? 🕵🏻♂️
Which color? (Assume they smell differently)
If you close your eyes, synths with polyphonic glide smell like rainbows, which smell like skittles, which smell like nothing, but taste like sugar.
Sounds like a day well spent!
Grey. Smells mix of fresh new plastic and electronic warm components.
So nice on the morning while sun rise
So, I was at a place called Hever Castle today, and they had a medieval event, including jousting and sword fights. I couldn’t help but think that the Medieval sampler would have fit right into the proceedings!
I keep on thinking that 50$ sample packs for the EP would generate a lot of income for TE. And they could go crazy with packs focussed on circus, animal world, road traffic and elektronauts.
People would anyway chop and process the samples to sound like usual synths, but the fun is in the concept.
Can an EP even hold 50$ worth of samples? I think 10-15$ highly curated sample packs like what elektron sells is probably more reasonable.
Yes, but I was thinking TE pricing…
