thank you for contacting us!

ok perfect! your order will be processed soon, and you’ll receive a shipping confirmation as soon as it is dispatched!

Then nothing…

What was the deal they had on the official site? Even better than the 600€ discount?

You could pick your own price between 1699€ and 10000€

XY Timestretch via MultiSampler

Summary

think it personally goes like this instead of a tr1000

opxy sequencing rytm mk2 + USB Audio into the Analog signal path
op1f sequencing A4 mk2 + USB Audio into the Analog signal path

I’m in the same boat. I’m fiending. I want mine so i can hold it close to my face, smell the metal and plastic… i’m feral for consumer electronics.

Precisely. Like a lot of “multi samplers” on the market at the moment, OPXY assumes you have a library of worked-over samples ready to play with. It’s not a mangler, even though it can mangle.

Actually the tonverk auto sampling option is very handy

You plan to play live or use endless sequencer for that? I think the OPXY should be the sequencer here, the OP1f is not really suited for that matter in my opinion

are they going to do another promo? Black Friday?

I’ve had issues sequencing my rytm with the opxy.
I guess that the opxy doesn’t go low enough to play all the pads of the rytm on one Channel.

I’ve already done that succesfully with the Cirklon, so I’m not new to sequence the Rytm externally

When did you order? They might be busy with the last product release

I am just trying not to spam TE everyday asking when the shipping will be

Edit so it looks like my order was a pre-order… I didn’t really notice it at check out but at least that’s reassuring…

I don’t know for black friday but every month this year there is a new deal. The one for october is not yet displayed

Not this month, but they’re teasing a big one for December.

the A4 is more like an extended Analog engine to play in line with what i like about the op1 workflow, making it great for layering and filter aninimation etc etc, the input mixer on the A4 is also somehow more suited

opxy and Rytm via usb is a great pair because of sequencer tricks on different channels / tracks and usb audio in Stereo to sample from, animating filters and fx, sending that into the Analog path on 2 tracks, setting up a perf macro for that „engine“, structured with 8 analog voices it’s in line with the xy

Rytm individual outs into modular
A4s CV outputs (behaving in line with op1) to have oplab 2.0 :scissors: with envelopes and functions

I think I can reach that with the op1 aswell and often comes into the way, but with autochannel it should be easy to hit all the engines from a single seq lane on the xy,no? :cowboy_hat_face:

What do you mean by low enough? I assume by all the pads you mean the chromatic mode. XY can sequence the whole range of 88 piano notes. It should be absolutely able to sequence the whole range of an AR track, you’d just have to figure out what are the lowest and highest notes of AR, since it can’t play the whole piano range. After that, you just need to align MIDI channels for individual AR and XY tracks.

If by all the pads you mean track mode, that’s not responding to notes but to MIDI channels. So that might explain why it doesn’t work for you.

I’m thinking of using my old MPC One to do auto-sampling of some of my other hardware for the OPXY. It’s been a few years since I’ve used it for that, but I seem to remember it being easy to do and works quite well. What I guess I’d need to do then is figure out how to port the samples over to the OPXY to use them there.

Check this out. I made this tool to help with that step.

There are other tools too. The Multisample Architect, Digichain, etc. I have a thread for OP-PatchStudio here and I mention the other tools too https://www.elektronauts.com/t/op-patchstudio-unofficial-op-xy-tools/235084.

I’m not sure. I assumed it was because C0 on one device doesn’t always match C0 on another. I might also have had some brain track-related setting enabled, because I remember being able to trigger certain Rytm pads but not others — like I could play the hats and toms track, but the kick and snare wouldn’t trigger even when I played chromatically.

As far as I know, you can play all the Rytm pads if you stick to something like C0–B0 (can’t remember the exact range, it’s been months since I set it up on the Cirklon). The other method is to sequence the pads by MIDI channel.

I tried the first method and couldn’t get it to work. I’m not a genius, but I’m pretty familiar with MIDI routing and all that, so it felt odd that it didn’t respond as expected.

Gonna try again this evening and report back :grimacing:

That’s exactly the problem. The lowest note on the OP-XY and OP-1f is F0, so there’s no way trigger C0-E0, if you’re using them as a midi keyboard.
I had the same exact problem trying to play the first few tracks on the DTII through the auto channel with the OP-XY as a midi keyboard.
