Going to cancel the order ASAP, don’t want to bother with this thing, it seems very cheap built. Very disappointing for a 300$$$ device.

It has been suggested NOT to install the knob on the slider or be very careful in No pressing it too hard, or lose a bit of the knob inside with a cutter to let the cap fit the slider easier, can’t say, I really hope mine is not part of this fail batch, it has nothing to do with delivering or mishandle I’m afraid

I might have missed a post but what did you do to remedy it? Replace the fader?
Yeah I don’t think desoldering it is too hard imo just takes some time and patience.
I think the thing that worries me is TE with the OPZ didn’t ever fix the warping issue they just replaced things that broke under warrantee, If these faders are so fragile and TE doesn’t decide to go with a different part it is just a matter of time before it needs replacement, especially if it is being traveled with or gigged with.
Like currently a DIY fix is probably more trust worthy than just swapping the part for another of the same.

I sent mine back due to the error and am ignoring all ep133 content since then cause i am sad i cant use it

I will be testing mine tomorrow eve. I’m already resigned to it not working properly. Even if it does, I’m not liable to trust it down the road.
So far mine is fine. It feels pretty solid for the size and no issues with the fader at all. I wonder if it was just a subset of shipments affected. I’m in the states btw, don’t know if that has anything to do with it.
and there one is, sitting unopened on my counter…. what to do.

I’m not opening mine up to solder and I don’t even want a replacement until these issues are sorted out. It will take a while in any case to get a replacement if stock is sold out, send it back to get fixed amongst all the broken ones, or for TE to re-engineer an entirely new batch. It’s a shame because i like the workflow and sound a lot. Excited to hear more tunes from those who got a good one

Got mine today in the UK. Really liking it so far! Have only used the built-in samples so far though, will test the sampling and chopping tomorrow.
Two keys were a bit sticky initially but it disappeared after like 15 minutes of using it.
The sequencer is great and I realized that I really need these sorta groups or clips that can be sequenced independently. It’s how I’d jam in both Bitwig and Ableton, or the Blackbox. I think one of the main reasons I haven’t used my Syntakt much is I just lose all steam when I change a drum pattern and have to manually paste it to three different patterns. I’ll probably put the Syntakt up for sale actually….

Does anyone know what do the XY knobs do in the Main mode ? The orange one shows IN and the black one IFX when turning them but no value is displayed…I can’t find anything in the manual.

In europe it cost same as 385 dollar, quite bad if get cheap quality components for that amount…
made a lil video. figured i got the hot new toy i should see how many views it actually gets people
this is how ive been recording my beats into the 404, adding extra sfx over the top from the sp live just to speed things up. sometimes ill just slowly do things layer by layer but figured it would be fun to try to just do the whole thing live
