Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O. II

Should be getting mine next week. One thing I am curious about in the teardown is how the pressure sensitive film will last the test of time.

Just an FYI, for anyone in the US, Detroit Modular has these available for pre-order, and you can use BF10 to get 10% off. Free shipping and no sales tax as well. I had some store credit so I was able to get mine for $249.

did more playing around today and im starting to move around a bit quicker, starting to get more of an actual flow down.

i dont think there is a way to chain scenes, so you kinda gotta perform out a beat if you wanna hear it all on the device. makes it a little harder to use the punch in FX but im sure ill get quicker. changing scenes is fairly easy though, and i enjoy the instant switch.

made a bit more of a put together beat, then just goofed on the punch in FX. some of the punch ins are pretty similar to what i get out of the sp404. used the sp404 to record this out of the 133.

Pure wonkycore, I like it! Sounds as if you’re learning the machine pretty quickly.

Did I screw up by ordering directly from the teenageenginering site? Is it going to take longer to get to me?

@Nexus_Mode @dzyndzel thanks friends, the punch ins are pretty fun for weird tape stop stuff, and one of the FX randomizes samples in the sample slots i think? great for weird sounds

Might depend on where you live, logic says yes though.

I think so too. Those are some really weird sounds indeed, and yet they sound absolutely amazing.

depends on when you ordered. Initial batch is already shipping 5-7 days. Batch 2 is shipping next month. B&H has them is stock now with 2 day shipping. I ordered early direct from TE, Im in the US. Should get it next week sometime with the holiday delaying things this week.

I ordered through Amazon in the US (hate ordering instruments through them but I had like $200 in credit I’d been sitting on for a while so it was hard to pass this up for only $100).

The vendor was the official Amazon TE store, but shipped from the US. Placed my order yesterday, and it’s saying December 6th-14th as the delivery window. I also just noticed the product page is listed as currently unavailable in case anyone was planning to go look.

@MichaalHell do you happen to know what usb-c charger to use to run it? Would a normal usb iPhone one work with a type a - c or a 20w usb-c to usb c be okay?

Can’t find the specs for this…

edit: never mind. found it. standard 5v 1a charger

How would you know if you were batch 1 or 2?

growing a real appreciation for the master compressor, this thing can crank out some seriously heavy sounds

Can you set the metronome to ONLY do a count in? Or does it always continue after the count in?

The guide isn’t quite clear to me on that, and the settings show different metronome settings, but it’s also not clear to me.
