Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O. II

Loving the sequencer so much. I’ve been diving into controlling other synths (ESQ-1 and Grandmother, mainly) with the sequencer, so the MIDI->CHN->0 change is very convenient and well-timed for me. I’ve had 8 different channels driven by separate pads in a group - this changes makes it easy to add a pad and ‘external sequence’ to an existing piece.

This post of mine May 26, 2025 is a little taste. Thanks TE!

Nice beat! Whats the fader cap you’re using there? Looks nice.

Finished a full KO2 track if anybody else listens to boombap style hip hop. Paired the TX-6 for the first time to play with the fx. I think the TX-6 freeze effect is my new favorite lately. Can do some pretty cool end of bar stuff with it.

I ran a Monologue into a Monotron Delay into the KO2 last night and jammed after programming a few acid lines on the Monologue, switching between them as I changed scenes, worked the mutes, and used the punch in FX on the KO2. My conclusion was that I could easily play a 45 minute set with this combo with 3 songs of 5 or 6 scenes each. It was insanely fun and I had to force myself into bed at midnight.

Sweet, thank you!

Mine was a bit tough to fit in but slightly enlarged the fader opening so I didn’t have to push too hard

Just rebought the EP-133 after a year without it, restored my projects and found the skeleton of this dub techno track. Performed it into my OP-1F, added some extra bits and bobs and recorded it to the album - done.

EP-133 has such an amazing workflow and UI. Just one of the most intuitive, fun and inviting samplers ever. Sounds hella good too.

2.0 was clearly a blast but wtf I still can’t reliably delete a scene ???
Come on It’s been 2 months !! :exploding_head::exploding_head::exploding_head:

I had hope it would be solved in 2.0.1 but now I get frequent “err scene 436 2_0_ 1”
Those scene just get stuck and I can’t do anything about it.

I love the form factor, love the sound, but I’m sooo disappointed by TE as a brand.
Announcing features at launch to build hype, arriving 18 months after, with a mega update that breaks one of the most basic functions, it is so frustrating and un-professionnal.

I wouldn’t mind so much if this was a toy but I actually need this to tour.

Do you guys also have issues deleting scenes ? So far my issues have been with scenes creates on 2.0

Have you installed 2.0.1 which fixes the scene delete issue? Scene deletion is working without issue on mine running 2.0.1

edit: oops, didn’t see that you mentioned 2.0.1

Glad to know you’re not having issues on your side !
Let’s hope the issue is with scenes created under 2.0.

I’ll just ditch what I did the last 2 months, start fresh and hope for the best :crossed_fingers:

Thanks means a lot coming from you!
We embarked on time and after waiting a couple hours on the tarmac we were told that the plane wasn’t going anywhere due to a cargo plane which landed « too heavily » at the destination and partially destroyed the landing track. Ugh. Still managed to make a beat! That’s Friday the 13th type crap I guess. Better safe than sorry

Here’s one from me using Song mode. I like working with long scenes (8–16+ bars) to break the track into sections, then polish and chain them together. Version 2.0 is a game changer for the EP-133—hope they release more gear in this series!

I’ve searched, but is there a way to move samples? Say from number 401 to 501?
