@te-david, are you still here with us? Any news on update?
TE should make a slightly bigger version of their TP-7 field recorder. But add a pitch slider and hey presto a TE take on the Pioneer CDJs!
They could make it more fun than CDJs by making DJ FX (usually found on a mixer) inbuilt on the player itself.
It would fit nicely into the TE eco system (with their mixer)
IIRC, teenage engineering will be at NAMM next week, so Iâm sure if thereâs any news to come, it will be there.
Russo Music has them in stock -
pretty dope raz & co made all this stuff with the KO
looks like video was shot near me too
getting back into that action:
updated:
Recorded groove to OP-1F Tape and messed around with KOâą][ fx during recording:
I noticed that the user guide has also been updated to V1.1.2 - anyone checked it out to see if they fixed all the errors with the original?
I learned last night that you can copy and paste an entire group of samples, so next time Iâm near my KO II I want to try and see if the paste carries over to a different project entirely. Assuming it does, one project could be used as a template for storing kits. Will report back later. Or maybe someone near the device can try. I believe you go into sound mode of the group and hit shift + copy then copy a second time.
In other news: Anyone know why when I sample a sound in the KO II, I always have to leave sample mode to playback the sample. In that episode 4 video Son Wu put out, and in others too, ppl can play the sample from the sampling mode. I always have to hit main or sound to hear it.
Latest firmware too.
Unfortunately copied groups do not carry over to new projects. Bummer. Maybe a fix can address that? I donât mind starting with empty samples anyway and loading up the device as I go.
I installed the latest firmware and in fact no pre-listening in the sample menu although in fact it was possible before, itâs not too annoying fortunately.
I did a reset to start from scratch without sample I made this last night with only 6 or 7 samples, three of which are mouth noises and the rest are my guitar and a piano chord. I find the OT grain on the freeze (timing) :). no mix, itâs raw and I try to use the punch ins as an element of composition. Itâs minimal but i think i will use like that .
Great to gear something different made in the EP-133. Excellent tunage!!!
Found a nice case that would fit the KO2 with the Fanboy case on and has some pockets too. Really love the fit and only $12. There some other ones on their store I saw that was near identical for $8.
I got the grey one.

Very beautiful!
I liked it as well. Very nice filming and editing. And he has the same workflow as me.
Off topic, but anyone more than me from Sweden here? Give a like.
great vibe with the track! bummer to hear re the sample playback from the sampling page, but reassuring to know it seems likely a bug that will get fixed.
Spent the weekend getting to know my new K.O. II. The 1990s throwback design had me wondering if it could do the kinds of early Squarepusher/Amon Tobin IDM that I grew up with. Short answer: yes!
Iâve had trouble using the punch-in FX during transitions (which is when you want them most), so I added my iPad with Logic Pro Remote for DJ-style mixing effects. Iâm really enjoying this thing so far!
