How do I delete a sound from a pad?
Erase+Sound
Edit: This will erase the sample completely from your device.
I donāt want to derail the topic so Iāll try to relate the two real quick.
Iāve had a Push since day 1 and pretty much started using Ableton day 1 when I got a demo on CD at the Winter Music Conference in ā01 or ā02. So itās kind of all I know. And know well 20+ years later.
I use the Push to live play in my arrangements and jams. So Iām always making loops to jam.
The KO2 feels like a fun little box to make some loops on which is why I had asked how you get them out of the box (export or record). Sounds like record.
My only thing is I have an enough loop makers. Some get used more than others. Iād hope the KO2 falls in the āmoreā others category.
I came down to Dallas for the Seahawks/Cowboys game and am flying back this afternoon. I see the Guitar Center near the airport has them in stock. Guitar Center is in between the airport and my houseā¦
Yeah, itās really annoying me right now that my device has a faulty fader. Now I have to send it back and wait for the money before I can order a new one (Iāve already bought Christmas presents, so money is tightā¦), and by the time a new batch comes out, my GAS has probably disappeared⦠thatās probably the only consolidation.
Thatās an omen. I just have to admit that Iām much faster and more productive with Ableton than with any sampler. I wished I were a hardware type. Maybe this was the universeās way of signaling to finally stop the eternal search for the perfect sampler.
Select the pad,
Press Sound + 0, Enter, Enter
This is probably the better way if you donāt want to completely delete the sound from your device.
Christ almighty these vids are bad
Haha I just love Michael though I donāt always agree with him. Hard to disagree with his core point here, though it depends if you value the form factor and design of whatever gear he can replace with Koala/Garageband. And obviously you need to own a laptop/phone already to get bhind his ethos which many people criticise him for. Again, ultimately, heās not wrong if you look at it from a reductivist point-of-view.
Yes Iām big fan of using my iPad/phone/laptop for music but itās so obvious to say koala can do it because technically it can and you just rinse and repeats it for any new sampler. That and Drambo. I guess I knew exactly what was coming before watching and I am getting more annoyed than I should watching pointless YouTube videos which s totally my own fault
Finally got my unit⦠the fader seems working fine and so the speakerā¦did not put any caps so far thoughā¦kind scare but I guess the fader will stay as it is until i find a suitable replacement⦠now is time to trying this and I really hope it clicks!..
Ordered mine 3 hours after release and still not shipped from TE, cancelled it now, imo biggest fail release of the year, dont want wait maby weeks when i ordered something that said it was in stock when its also obvious that its of much poorer quality than even a 300 dollar price should be
When it works, its worth 300 for sure
i ordered mine like 4 days ago from guitar center and got it 2 days later. whenever you order from the source you risk getting it a little later iāve noticed.
this thing is pretty great. a lot of things are easier on it compared to a 404.
on another noteā¦is there any way to make the length of a group a few beats more or less than a bar (without changing time signature of the entire track)ā¦like have a group length be 1.5 bars?
Thanks for the inspo. Iām really interested in a similar build using legos. Found most of the components in the colors I need on Amazon. I want to construct the slimmest case possible without having to remove knobs or feet. Ultimately just want to be able to slide KO2 in my current gear bags without fear of damage.
I received mine direct from TE in the US. Fader was dead without installing cap. I was pretty much expecting it not to work. Initially I was convinced the fader was damaged in shipping due to the really poor packaging design. But after opening it up and removing and inspecting the fader, I really believe these faders were bad/damaged before being installed on the board. I have tried to duplicate the issue on an extra fader I have and itās virtually impossible even with brute force applied to the fader. EDIT: TE have stated that these faders are tested by a human and by a robotic arm before release. So it seems it must be shipping related. Anyway, the build quality on these actually seems really good. Really it seems like a bad batch of faders and poor QC. Iāve built a couple midi controller and pedals and I always check the pots with a meter before installing. Long story short, I replaced the fader with a new one. This type a fader is pretty common and typically donāt have any problems. I donāt for-see ever having a problem again with the fader. The original fader is easliy repaired by bending back the wiper contacts, which I did but I choose to just install a new one.!
Edit- This was really easy to replace. I did not need a desoldering tool or even any solder. Just heated up the pins with a soldering iron while pulling away from the board. Same in reverse, just heated up the solder in the hole and pushed the fader pins back in. Super easy if you have ever soldered anything before.
The plot thickensā¦
Pleasure is all mine - I had just enough bricks for the bottom part - now have to figure out the cover - same goal in mind, to be able to throw it in a bag and donāt worry about faders - will share when the whole thing is ready!
Gnaa, all that Lego stuff is not helping ⦠does it have Round Robin?
Round Robin = you have 10 samples and each hit advances which sample is played. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,⦠A technique used to prevent the infamous machine gun effect.
No round robin.
Geez - after all these faults reported here and other forums I feel like cancelling MY order and I didnāt even buy one
