so had a day off to day and got some studio time, came up with this little Diddy
arrangement dow, automation to do as well as mixing, automation and embellishing a little. thrown in a quick master chain to boost levels

The mix is quite nice - but the main offbeat hi hat is a bit too harsh for my ears. Ironically I think some distortion might smooth it out a bit.
YES!!! totally agree on this, I actually thought about running the hat through a guitar amp, but you’re right on the money, even before any real eq and levelling is done it needs something to take the sizzle out
