Techno track I made this past week - looking for feedback

mattstacks - this past

Hello all,
This is a track I made last Friday.
The synth line is the Microgranny running through a MakeNoize Echophon, using a MakeNoize Function to modulate the pitch and feedback amount, another envelope is modulating a Pittsburgh Modular Verbtronic to add some reverb.
The vocals at the end are the MicroGranny as well running through the same chain.
The drums are from RYTM.
The percussion is from the OT.
The subs are from the Avalon.
This track was recorded live running through a Model 1 mixer. There is a little bit of reverb(Eventide Space) and delay(Eventide TimeLine) added here and there through the effect send/returns on the mixer.
Any questions please ask.

any feedback appreciated.
Thanks for listening.

Awesome. How do you like the Model 1?

like the overall atmosphere and the ‘crunchy’ character. you would probably benefit from introducing more bass frequencies.

Thanks for listening.

I appreciate the feedback and will definitely work on the subs more.

I love the Model 1.

I searched far and wide for a ‘performance mixer’ that let me do connect my gear, have visual feedback of my channel levels, has as many stereo inputs as possible, had filters per track, and had at least two send/returns.

I ended up preording the thing and waiting and waiting for it since it really is one of a kind. It has far exceeded my expectations. The filters add no character, they just shape. (which is what I wanted) The EQ is perfect to accent or defuse a frequency.

Plenty of outs for the mains including a booth with EQ which I use to try to adjust for my studio (record - highs are too high but sound good in my room - turn the highs up at the booth output - now my master output is pushing less highs and I don’t even know it etc with bass)

The send returns have their own leds for return which is very helpful for feedback from a delay pedal etc.
Can send returns to master filter, or even cut subs with the push of a button.

I really am a fan of that thing.

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate you listening.

I’ll look at the pan, it is possible that I messed that up and never noticed it.

Nice tune man! Nice and stripped down - like it.

Thank you listening.

Man, I gotta say that this community giving me positive feedback has really been inspiring.

sweet dirty thing  like especially the “filtered rimshot-like” elements… as someone said before: just more subs…

as much as i like the track, ideas would be:experiment with adding more variation to the hihats maybe (shifitng the whole hihatpattern for example, or adding more trigs with different possibility-trig-condition or just “accidently” dial in very short and medium long decays to the closed hat)… also some 2-3 more snare trigs per pattern in fill mode mayeb, so you can dial in little breaks…

Hello,

Thanks, those are some really good pointers.

I have been working on the probability trigs more with the latest track.

I’ll work on fills, I still haven’t explored that part of the latest update so thanks for the reminder.
