hi, i started building a set with the OT as master sequencing my tanzbär via midi, as i never got around the somehow clumsy way to program the tanzbär, and to have all the sequencing in one spot. now this works pretty good:
OT MIDI OUT -> tanzbär MIDI IN 1
OT sends notes on channel 3. on the tanzbär, i have an empty pattern with no steps programmed. i want to save the sound settings in different patterns, so i can live tweak the sounds on the tanzbär and reset them by pressing “select” in step-mode. but this is not working - “select” seems to reset the sound only when steps are programmed directly on the tanzbär. any tips from you tanzbär pros out there?
Bump - Anyone knows if its possible to save instrument sounds in presets without trigs/steps?
I dont have a tanzbar but sounds like you have to save the sounds settings with the sequence within the tanzbar, jomox drum machines are like that. Can you save kits only? So if you have a pattern playing you can change to different kits? If thats the case maybe you can program a bank change in the octatrack pattern. Hope it helps
No, unfortunately the new sounds seem to be loaded only when a trig is placed on the internal sequencer… Although i cant imagine this is supposed to be like this
