Mine works mostly very well, but occasionally I get a weird glitch where one of the 8 tracks will just stop making sound and I have to reset the box. Haven’t been able to track down the reason.

Also, I find the slicer to be cumbersome and annoying to use, so I just don’t mostly. Not being able to use the dials for slice points, and the way you have to add and delete them, is irritating.

BUT - as a portable sound module, kontakt-in-a-box if you will, it is fanstastic, especially if you are sequecing it externally. It can receive program changes and the preset changes pretty quickly, within a few seconds which is great. And it really sounds good too.

Overall, I tend to agree with the assessment that 1010 music stuff is powerful, portable and sounds really good. But the UI feels like it was designed by a team of mathematicians in lab coats or something lol. I wouldn’t exactly call the Tangerine user-friendly and there are some strange choices and things that don’t flow or work like you would expect them to. For that reason, I really feel like it’s best use-case is if you are going to use it as a sound module to be controlled by external gear.
