Take a bow Nine Inch Nails

The 2022 tour is an absolute stunner!

So many different songs and varied set lists.
The musical skills on show were awesome, all of them playing multiple instruments, often switching within a song.
The intensity of the performances and the connection with the crowd is unbelievable.
Light show was incredible, and SO many strobes!

For those interested there is lots of discussion on the NIN Discord - invite: https://discord.gg/v75qmZGU

Anybody else go or going?

I went to Manchester - This is my one picture, there are many better ones online and loads of good video footage of all the dates so far.

Absolutely riveting, every track. Wasn’t prepared for how much I would feel it. Couldn’t sleep till about 5am afterwards!

Eden looked fantastic, great setting for a gig :rainbow:

Ooh… hope they’ll do EU too!

My best friend keeps on bringing up how NIN is the best live show she ever saw, years ago. The word orgasm comes up in her description of it.

I agree, hands down most intense gig I’ve been to (I’ve been to a lot as well!)
They are playing at Hellfest in France tomorrow night, think that’s the only EU date this time.

Also saw them at Eden on Friday, and they were fantastic. Honestly couldn’t have been better. Fun to see Nitzer Ebb in support too.

Haven’t seen them in years.
My love for NIN fell a bit asleep after the last ep series, although there were some great tracks on them.
But I kind of miss them. One of my biggest musical influences for many years

@subduct Grew up in Cornwall and never thought when I bought Pretty Hate Machine on vinyl in 1989 that I would see NIИ play a few miles from my hometown (Eden as it is today didn’t exist until the early ‘00’s).

@Boxymusic Also glad to see Nitzer Ebb perform, both bands were a formative part of my youth.

Yeah I would have really liked to see Nitzer Ebb too. Yves Tumor were good though.
I never thought they would play smaller venues like Manchester Apollo, I assumed it would be arenas and festivals all the way. They really picked great venues this time!

Yeah, was a bit shocked they were playing in Cornwall back in Feb when tour was announced and tickets first available. Suppose being an outdoor location ticked a box early on. They added more UK dates as time drew nearer.

Damn, these look like great shows. Hopefully they come to Australia soonish.

I heard Trent brought out the sax too?! Amazing.

Sure did! The synths on this tune were brutal live as well :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

@Kalimari It was spooky, I joked with a friend after the Eden shows were announced “imagine if they played at the Apollo”! I guess Trent was listening…

@Kalimari I first heard “Head Like A Hole” played at a basement goth club in Truro, Cornwall in 89/90 and bought Pretty Hate Machine soon after. Played that cassette on repeat for months!

@jamesstiff was that club secrets or the loft?

…trent is constantly sneaking into my head since early 90ies…that’s where he got all his best ideas and concepts from…i swear…

Good guesses! They were a bit more mainstream, at least in my experience. It was actually at The Wig & Pen on Frances St.

…fakin’ it on a sax…!?..so, even trent is getting old these days…

Cornwall has changed a lot for the wrong reasons. It has become hugely commercialised and overidden with rich(er) tourists buying second homes there forcing out the poorer families whosegenerations have lived their all their lives. The Eden area is not the same and neither are a lot of Cornish towns. Sad to see.
