Systems Of Memory - Live hardware improv

http://Www.soundcloud.com/systemsofmemory

Two guys, 5 elektrons, a hand full of other gear, and an hour or so of free form improv per set.

Currently we have 50+hrs of live hardware improv dating from march of 2013 to October of 2013.

The gear list:
Elektron Analog Four x2, Machinedrum uw+ x2, octatrack, TE op1, tt303, marsynths x2, eventide space, iPad (various apps), motu ultralight. This is the “live rig” but when jamming in studio we utilize many other pieces including monomachine, virus, moog, arp odyssey, roland synths, and more.

The process:
1 pattern. Start blank and build in real time. Everything is sequenced during a session and nothing is edited after the fact. Recorded straight to various handheld devices and uploaded for all to hear.

We typically upload a few hours each week. Free downloads, so you can listen at your own convenience.

Enjoy.

Incredible work man. I’ve only gotten though about a 1/3rd of it and I’m hooked. I may have to finish the rest tomorrow. When the beat picked up and the acid line came in… it totally lit me up.
Cheers:)

***edit… heard the whole thing. Once again awesome work. Lot’s of twists and turns. Very exciting ride:)

Thank you for listening and for the kind feedback. You will find that we have a “style” but only really due to the gear we use. For the most part each set is dramatically different than the next/previous and its always as much an adventure for us as it is for our listeners. I love being able to set up and just go for it. Its not always good, but its always fun.

Bookmarked. Looking forward to listening. Respect for what you’re doing

Been slowly working my way through your tracks at work yesterday and today and am really enjoying it.
