I am trying to transfer a project from A4 to my new AK.
I am doing sysex dump through midi (also tried usb w/C6). Both of them result in the “Sysex Dump Reception” screen showing that the dump is coming through.
For example, via midi cable, if I send All Kits, then 128 will will transfer one by one. At the end of the transfer, the number next to “kits” is 128.
But then when I hit the “Yes” button to exit the “sysex dump reception” screen, where have the kits gone? I go to load a kit and there is not a single kit. (the project on the Keys which I’m transferring to is completely cleared so the slots are all empty)
I’ve looked through the manual and online and can’t find why I’m having this problem. The screen shows that a transfer is going through (from the A4 to the AK) and at the end says that 128 kits have been received, but they aren’t actually loading into the project. This is happening both with Midi port and with USB&C6.
I left it alone for a while and came back with a clear head.
I noticed one was OS1.22 and the other was 1.23. I should’ve checked that first and saved myself some time.
Oh well… This keyboard is awesome.
