Is it generally safe to play the sequencer while sending sysex “ALL” when trying to save all but samples to my flash drive? I noticed the light blinking on my TM-1 in between transfers while the sequencer was playing. I’m hoping it didn’t interfere with any data transfer.
If your receiving system is good quality then it will be safe, although the SysEx transfer might be slightly slower.
In any case, it makes sense to use the SYSEX VERIFY feature of the MD to ensure that the SysEx files that you saved do not contain errors.
