You can do some trickery with the Subharmonicon and the ‘Play’ patch point. Actually some really neat stuff with long gates to trigger the sequencers to play only while there’s a gate going to it. Gives it another layer of rhythmic depth.
I forgot the SE-02 had sequencer advance via trigger in. Probably because its sequencer is a bit of a pain compared to something like the SH-01A. Must have a play with that.
Definitely a different approach to things but I did very much appreciate the ability to set both first and last step as well as playback direction on the SE-02. If I hadn’t picked up the Mother 32 I would not have parted ways with it. Enjoyed it greatly though while I had it.
SH01A won’t go anywhere ever though. Love it!
I’d forgotten it does that too! I really need to spend some quality time with it soon.
Most of the analogue solutions synths will do this.
