Syntakt track relations question

Hey there,

Very interested in syntakt but I wanted to know better how track relations work, specifically track layering.

If I have two twinshot tracks, say track 1 and track 2. If I connect them with a track relation layer, when I play track one and change the note, will track 2 note information also change?

The idea is to put single cycle waveforms on each and have a slightly detuned second oscillator on track 2. This only works if the notes transpose together. Same idea would be too create a chord with three tracks but it only works if the ‘follower tracks’ transpose note information by following the note data of track 1.

Does it work like that?

Yes it does work like that. And even better, with key tracking you can change intervals while playing chords with layered tracks. Lots of fun to be had.

Thanks

Shoooot, I didn’t even think about that. I need to play with key tracking!

Do not forget that layered track still playing by sequencer. So using red/yellow TRIGs and different steps count and/or track scales(page menu) can produce interesting effects.
