Syntakt Track 12 Analog Cymbal Track Modulation to get synth machine tones

Have you tried FMing the cymbal track to get synth tones especially with the hi hat lab machine boosted by the analog fx block(as the sound can be quite low volume without it)…it’s incredible it opens up the cymbal track as another analog synth machine anything from punchy bass, leads to tin drum and flute sounds…you kind of sacrifice the fx block but so worth it…parameter locks help leave some space on the fx track…but be nice if there was a work around… a dedicated synth machine on the cymbal track would rock…

Nice hi hat lab seems to be the best at producing key trackable melodic tones as you can overlap the 6 oscillators directly ontop each other then modulate with the lfo routed to filter envelope speed 16 multiplier 32(other multipliers work) boost with analog fx track drive, lp filter, slight res, then adjust hi hat lab machine decay to taste…higher for lower octaves for bass lines, lower in the higher octaves for more percussive and wind/reed tones…;p

I have seen nothing on the analog cymbal track tho…that i could find anway…i suggested that he do a vid on it cause the cymbal track is not as limited as most people think…it actually opens doors to new sounds on the device…its awesome

No problem, enjoy. Nils makes great stuff as well. I’ve lost count of how many SSL there are now but quite a few to browse over!
