Plastic vowels & melodics. 3x Plastic & plenty of grit from the FX track. Bit of post EQ to scoop the mids a bit.

My first contribution to the science lab!

Had to play with sound locks to make it fit the 3 tracks, was a fun challenge

Recorded straight from ST, with some Live compression/limiting.

Hi!

Here’s three tracks of BD Plastic. I tried to get them sounding plucky like a shamisen and played around with TRK ALL a while.
One of the tracks has LFOs on filter frequencies and SYN MOD, one has them on SYN MOD and Sweep Depth, and one has an LFO to pan.
All are fed to the delay and reverb. No FX drive this time.

I think this machine can do some nasty kicking, but getting it to do quacky plucks isn’t so bad.

Tried to create something rhythmic with the first two BD Plastic tracks, then couldn’t resist elongated noise for the third one.

Lock trigs for manipulation of delay time and feedback in the FX Block, which is a new approach for me. Otherwise velocity mod for mod level, and for LFO depth etc.

Two more sound experiments, with the addition of the FX track:

Lead-type sound with MW macro and FX track chorus-ey effect:

BTW, do you also find the FX track super noisy when using the double-notch filter with little or no drive? I was very suprised with this (you can especially hear it at the end when the compressor kicks in). If I switch to the single notch filter, no noise but also no nice phaser/chorus effect

Choir-like with FX track trance gate:

(Recording’s glitchy and accelerated at times, sorry I must have done something wrong with Live)

Cross-posting my new track here:

I started it with only 3 channels of BD Plastic, but 1.40 came in… and I ended up cheating a bit and adding 1 channel of SP Twinshot with vocal samples, I hope that’s still accepted here :grimacing:
There’s more than 15 BD Plastic sounds that were designed for this SSL in it!
