I’d love to test this, but the only setup I can run it through where I am now is Overbridge, and the new Overbridge installer is broken. It only includes the uninstaller. Sigh.

I agree. The FX block seems empty. If Elektron is just copying stuff from the Rytm to the Syntakt why not copy the whole FX track from Rytm? Also that whole thing about not giving everything to the little machines so we can keep selling the big ones, seems very outdated. The fact that they had to do a DT2 in order to make a better sampler, says everything. ST should go more the Machinedrum way and become a separate instrument, not a 0% fat copy of the Rytm. Give it 6 LFOs. Give it something crazy, that no other instrument in the line up has. Just saying.

nah, I would not sweat it. softter/ Wes is a proper Elektron madman and has been around for ages. I like his style and always enjoyed his videos. I believe he works for Perfect Circuit so maybe thats where he tested that Beta andhas been always close to Elektron US gang…I mean, he basically expanded on what Cocoo leaked few days ago back… … what was it, 30min early. I have to say his closing arguments were spot on.
And no worries Dave, we dig your style as well and would watch your video even posted tomorrow

Seems weird to ban someone for their actions on another social media platform.
Especially when it wasn’t hurting anyone. On YouTube you can set your videos to upload ahead of time and have it be posted when that time hits. Perhaps he screwed up on the time conversion.
He leaked a video about content we already knew 100% of days ago.

I agree it would be harsh, but ultimately the guy got himself access to a beta firmware he wasn’t involved with then posted a video all about it before it launched. What are Elektron supposed to do about it?
They kinda have to do something, if not just to send a message.
Not that being banned from this shit board is much of a punishment…

To be fair. Both arguments on both sides seem valid for their reasons. Truly though just chill out an enjoy yourselves make some music FFS. Not everyone can be happy compromises are made. Videos leak early big whoop. Elektron themselves showed it at the event over the weekend. Y’all all acting on some bullsh*t. Be grateful.

Spent 10 minutes messing around with HH Lab and the new kick/snare. HH Lab is gonna be an IDM-plinky-noise powerhouse. The new kick and snare are straight-up glorious. If you put that kick in a black metal album and didn’t tell me it was a drum machine, I’d never notice it wasn’t a real drum.

Yep, I feel sorry for him. It was not hot shout out leak . . That video has some serious postproduction and was obviously recorded in 3 phazes, so he did worked on it for some time and probably messed up the upload a bit. Definitelly not someone looking to grab desparatelly some attention .

I am grateful for this update. Just tried all the new machines and will use Acoustic Snare, SY Chip and HH Lab a great deal.
I know I’ll get called a whiner but I still find it disappointing that a dedicated Drum Synthesizer/Groovebox doesn’t have a compressor. Maybe next time?
