anyone???
Digitone Keys case/format, x8 note synth polyphony. PB and mod wheels and AT too
Simples for Elekton to do
It doesnāt really make sense as a concept as itās not a polyphonic device and as the name implies itās primarily intended as a Drum Machine rather than a melodic synth.
If they went that way it would probably need to be some entirely new āAnalogtoneā melody focussed box.

I disagree with this⦠I imagine it would be straight forward to allocate 8 voices to the STās Digi tracks 5-8, and allow the Analog tracks 9-12 voices to be shared by one track (ala A4)⦠thereās a beast waiting to be unleashed in the Syntakt, and itās already good.
I canāt see Elektron doing a keys version though.
I attached a 49 key midi keyboard to my ST this week, and it really does bring it to life as a melodic instrument.

It could be made polyphonic very easily with a internal midi round robin re-director. I use a RK002 cable on my Digitakt and Analog Rytm to do this exact job. It was a breeze with the Digitakt and the RK002 with a polymux script and very creative plus you cna choose the voice allocation as in 2-8 (just like my Digitone Keys) and make it multi timbral too.

an x8 voice Supersaw JP8000 clone in the waiting
Sure, all things are possible in firmware.
It just doesnāt seem like the intention of the device and would dilute the focus of the box.

Wow can you share more of that ? You have vids or tunes on YouTube ?
rubbish, didnāt dilute the Digitone in anyway, can be an excellent drum machine/groovebox. why put all those synth engines in there if it couldnāt be a poly synth?

Surely it would make more sense to make something like the medusa, with a matrix of velocity sensitive pads. This could still handle polyphonic melody making whilst not diluting the drum machine side of things.
Theyāre not going to do either, but a pad interface would suit the Syntakt much better than a keyboard.

Iām not talking about the MPC style pads, Iām talking about something more like a Medusa or Akai Force.

Launchpad set to the Syntakt auto channel⦠think Iām going to try that out.
You can do that custom thing in Components too where you can make your own pad setup.
So it should be easy to allocate the bottom 2 rows to the 12 Syntakt triggers, then have melodic pads set up above to the auto channel.
