Syntakt amp not responding with overbridge

Hello everyone

I’m having a little issue with the Syntakt amp page while using overbridge mode and while connected to Ableton. The problem is simply that parameters such as panning, reverb and delay don’t respond and don’t result in any change when tweaked, even if these tweaks are done on the Overbridge software. What i find confusing is that the amp parameter (levels) is responding as usual.

I’m assuming that this has to do with the connectivity with Overbridge knowing once the USB cable is plugged out the issue is solved

  • side note: this applies to to global fx (reverb, delay and overdrive)

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Hi,

As far as I know, the Syntakt sends track stems in mono via overbridge. FX via OB are all carried on one dedicated stem which you have to assign. It’s my understanding that panning won’t work because of the mono signal path, and that FX changes will only be heard on the FX track.

Perhaps the stereo track soloed would reflect some change but Ableton, however, has a limit on the number of audio tracks one can assign.

I think that about covers it, but someone else will have to confirm because I don’t have an ST.

My advice for overbridge is always try the standalone app to more easily see what’s going on and to understand how the audio channels work

Load up the Syntakt app and view the mixer / tape recorder ( icon is at the top ) page

It’ll show all audio channels , whether they’re stereo or mono , and how they’re split … track audio / fx audio / main

And if you make sounds the level meters will move
