Forgive me if I’m asking a question covered somewhere in the manuals, however I’ve just scanned both the Octatrack and Digitone ones and cant find the answer;
I have an Octa and a Digitone and at present have just programmed all the midi sequences for the DN on the Octa, as you would with any other external synth - no problems there. However it occurred to me that I’d probably be better to actually program the DN sequences on the DN itself so I can use P-Locks etc, and just midi trigger the patterns in sync with those on the Octa. This is where I need a bit of help - Im assuming this is done via PC messages from the Octa, and they start upon playback on the Octa (assuming Transport settings are correct etc etc). What I cant work out is how the Program messages should be structured? 16 banks of 16 patterns would suggest 256 messages were needed, but that obviously doesnt marry with 0-127.
Im sure the answer is obvious, but i’m missing it at present, apologies. Any help would be appreciated!
