Sync OT to OB 1.10

Hi there,

I saw in the Sonicstate OB 1.10 promo vid that you can now sync, for example, a 606 to the Din Sync of an OB machine in Overbridge mode.

However can you now sync OT to the midi out of an Overbridged machine?

If not how are people syncing their OT to OB? Is Sync gen still the only way to tightly sync this set up? (Or expert sleepers of course)

If it hasn’t happened already; I hope OT can soon be synced to Ableton via OB, rather than an additional box being required

You can’t sync OT via OB. OT doesn’t support OB.
As far as OT syncing over USB, unfortunately it doesn’t do that either.

Oh well, hopefully under a newer sampler version… (which can neither be confirmed nor denied.)

Yeah, your options are to either sync OT to your DAW so that it syncs with OB…or, you can sync everything to your OT, but the OB will not be nearly as tight since it relies on some behind the scenes processing to keep everything in sync via your DAW (e.g. Live).

Sorry I wasn’t very clear. I understand that OT doesn’t support OB.
However I have a Rytm synced to OB via USB, and as of 1.10 the midi out/midi thru can be used to sync, din sync devices such as 606,.
So I was hoping that instead of using it for Din Sync devices, I could sync the OT to a clock being generated by OB via the Rytm.
Is expert sleepers or Sync gen the only way to tightly sync OT with OB enabled devices?

What happened when you tried it?

Haven’t been with my machines since posting this thread.
However will post what happens when I try it, ASAP!
Was just trying to figure out if it was theoretically possible with current OB software
