Sync clock to analog keys without any sounds from the sequencer

I’m using the Analog Keys in a conventional(boring) “musician type”-way.

What I’m trying to do is playing a sound with synced arpeggio receiving midi clock from ableton.

My problem is:

When Transport Receive ISN’T engaged, the tempo is right but isn’t syncing to the track in ableton. If my playing is just a little bit off, it doesn’t work.

When Transport Receive IS engaged it lines up perfectly to ableton but the sequencer starts playing automatically interfering with my playing.

Is there a way to engage Transport Receive without triggering the sequencer? Can I remove all the sounds from the sequencer maybe?

please consider that I’m a conventional and boring musician

Not sure how the AK works but with most other elektron devices muting the tracks just mutes the sequence and you can still play on that track.

On the AK try turning clock recieve and turn off transport recieve.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve been doing. When only clock is on it doesn’t track.
