Hi I have my OPZ sync’d to my Syntakt - when I press record on the Syntakt how do I stop the OPZ from playing over the preroll bars? I’d like the OPZ to start playing along with the Sytntakt when the count-in stops.
There’s probably a better way, but you could probably load an empty pattern and change the length to match what you were using for the preroll and just add your own click, turn the midi channel to OPZ off. Then on the first bar of the next pattern (original pattern) enable the midi track to opz to start with the pattern change, and then start live playing the trigs or whatever you were intending to do with the syntakt in record mode.
Until someone drops in with a real answer it’s something you can try, the basic answer though, is that there’s no way to delay the transport start signal to the OPZ because that’s not something you can P lock and you can’t lock midi channel on/off, so the best you can hope to do is mimic the behavior that you’re after.
Like I said though, someone probably will have a better idea but this should work if you got nothing else.

Thanks for this. I’m guessing there is no real straight forward answer, and the best way may be to have the OP-Z doing the sequencing rather than the Syntakt.
