Can I switch to different samples from the AED page? (like if I’ve got a kick/snare/hat going on one track, how can I navigate to the different loaded samples for editing?)
You can only load samples from the sample slots page.
If you have a sample chain (eg 16 different sounds all in the same sample) you can use the slice feature to scroll through them in the AED

Thanks for that. I’m away from the unit right now. Asking this another way… is there a way to change sample slots from the editor?

So if I’ve got track 1 with a kick and snare, the snare being sound locked on the 2 and 4… if the kick is the base/primary sound selected, this is the only sample I can edit?
Correct.
The AED is an editor for the sample loaded into the machine (flex or static)
AED is not addressable on a per step/sound lock basis.

Not what you’re asking but just in order to clarify it :
You can edit your track sample locks in AED by editing them from slots they refer to.
(By the way it can be interesting to modify a sample slot used in different tracks with different settings…)
Are you saying I can hit AED when I’ve highlighted the sample I want to edit? And it takes me straight to the editor for that sample?
I’ll have to get home to try what you’re describing, Sezare. I can’t quite visualize it from here.

Yes. You can open and edit any sample slot in AED. Changes are applied to the whole project.
