(suddenly) no audio out of octatrack

i accidentally unplugged my octatrack while i was playing and when i fired it back up no audio will come out. the triggers are there, and it appears the machines are correct and connected to the correct samples.

any ideas?

Did you cue all your tracks?
did you check headphones-output?
did you check your fx-stack which is on your masterchannel of your mixingboard?
(I had that once… took me hours to find…)

what about another project?? did you try opening a new one… or an old one?

anyways… thats about what i would check if i didnt hear a beep coming from mine…
well… after i stopped freaking out and crying like a little boy…
So I hope your not freaking out to much, nor that your crying… and i hope its one of those things i suggested…

Anyways smart people from the forum! any other ideas what it could be?

Are you seeing activity on the CF card?
Does it pass audio using Thru machines or the mixer?

i did not cry or swear or brake anything. i’m still looking at all my current projects and endeavors as learning so as long as that lasts i’m good.

i will say i have lost things on all 3 of my devices machinedrum, analog four and octatrack and it is getting old.

here is what i have done…

[li]i created a new project in the set and accessed all the samples. thankfully i remember the 4 i was working with. from there i was able to recreate something close to what i had on 2 of the 4. i consider this to be a non insignificant success as it demonstrates a growing level of competence in working with the octatrack. i can now begin creating experience both the mysteries & happy accidents and creating from intention & design. i started here to make sure the machine wasn’t blown up. [/li]
[li]next i re-entered the current project and discovered a few things that lead me to think there is some sort of corruption requiring me to abandon it all together. first, none of the knobs work. the buttons and navigation all work, but not the knobs adjusting parameters. second the sliced drum loop was no longer sliced. all the triggers were still in place, but each time each trigger just restarted the loop. i fixed this, which again is a positive. [/li]
[li]third, (and maybe this is really just under the second) but the crossfader does not work either. which leads me to wonder if this has something to do w/ the effects stack or something other odd disabling. [/li]
[/ol]

any thoughts on this?
any have this happen to them?
it really does seem that if i could access the right places in the menu i could fix this set, any comments on that notion? it seems less a corruption and more a random tweaking of settings in 2nd level and beyond menus.
