Subtracks are based on the concept of polyphony, so unless implemented differently on the OT, it won’t probably happen.

you can play a ‘kit’ on one track but it’s monophonic. you are limited by voices.

15 years seems a really fucking long time to wait on making something monophonic into something polyphonic via a firmware update.
So, no, it ain’t gonna happen, obviously.

OT is dead, long live Tonverk
OT live and kicking until….
A) Tonverk gets some extra inputs, slicing, time stretch and live looping
B) We get the final OT shiny silver edition

Please don’t insult OT which is still alive and more capable than TV for live recording with direct buffer mangling, and morphing up to 250 parameters with crossfader, 16 scenes, 8 recorder tracks, slides…
Keeping my OT for sure, I have TV I am keeping too, sold my Digitak 2.

Really looking forward to hearing what this combo can do
I am not sure to use them together.
I’d rather pair TV with DN2…
It already has sub tracks and it’s called slots mode

Yes it has 256 subtracks with 8 choke groups.

Apparently but maybe you really think TV can replace OT.
Depends on users…
I saw much more Digitak 2 second hand sales btw…

DT2 and Tonverk. From the time you switch both machines ON, to have some form of an idea.
I don’t see how they share anything in common philosophically. I don’t own any of them, maybe that’s why. Is it because they are samplers? I feel the same when the OT is compared to a MPC.
It is entertaining to read I must say. Like this thread. I laughed at the title and it felt good. Feeling good is fun.

Digitakt and Tonverk ? Definitely share a lot of DNA, more than OT for sure…
It reminded me OT would deserve some updates.
