Struggling to find the right genre to label my music

Isn’t the rule “Release new music, create a new genre label for it.”

Hi all, do we just put up tracks and people can interpret what genres they think it is?

I would love to do exactly that here.

there are several things which point into the halftime liquid dnb labels (if these labels even exist) but then again it feels completely different to (liquid dnb)
can somebody help?

El-Eak-tronica?

no one cares about the genre label other than you (cause you wanna be different and not be lumped in with a genre…thus all the sub genres), the record store owners from long ago (so you know where they file stuff to be found), and the library of congress (same filing reasons)

to be more precise: i need a reference track for arrangement and mixing. i was hoping narrowing down the genre would be the first step

I think a dnb reference for mixing would work. I can hear the dnb dna there. It’s like the pads and synths go “orite m8. Dass it!” but the drums and the bass are asking themselves if the instruments even speak English or an entirely different language :joy:

another round: What genre is this? OR What could be a suiting reference track?

Sounds like BoC but they’ve been laying off the shrooms and finally got that turntable overhaul
