Sticky Trigs

I’ve one or two trig buttons ( usually No 4 & 5) that are becoming a bit lazy in popping back up after they are pressed. A second quick press allows them to spring back up, but it is annoying.

It seems to be that the plastic button is somehow slightly touching the steel hole.

Possible fixes are to either shrink the button or enlarge the hole - but that seems a bit risky.

Anyone know if there is a liquid of some sort, maybe alcohol based, that could be used to ‘polish’ the buttons to being very slightly smaller? I’d think it is only a fraction of a millimeter that I need to reduce the button by in order to allow it free’er to pop up and not touch the edge of the hole?

(It doesn’t even seem to visibly touch the hole, but that is the only conclusion I can draw as to why they are sticky)

The pads are much smaller than the holes, sounds more likely that the switch has got sticky. Best ask support if there’s any known issue or search your memory for a forgotten coffee spill ; - )

They look like this

ha, no, there’s been nothing dribbled on it, organic or alcoholic. Nor have I been putting much usage stress on as yet.

just don’t want to have to mail it off for a while to sweden if it is something that has a simple solution.

surprised nobody else has experienced something similar, thought I saw someone mention on the forum that some of their buttons were sitting a bit shallow recently either on the A4 or OT.

that was me - not sticking though, i know what a sticky switch feels like, there’s one on my nord rack 2 - but i’d be surprised if the pads were fouling the chassis as there’s quite a bit of play around them

if support gave you the green light to take the lid off you’d soon know and you may be able to free up the trig with guidance - but i suspect they’d want to do it - i’m in your boat too, don’t want to send it off anywhere !
