Hi all. As some of you have found, the TV’s track types are not particularly well-defined/separated on the OG screenprinted faceplate. To deal with this shortcoming, some here have swapped buttons out from other units (@sezare56), some have made new 3D printed buttons (@LaVernWinston), and many more (like me) have just had bits of dayglo post-it notes etc stuck to the unit.
Recently I decided to do something about this and make something ‘proper’, and I’m really happy with the result. Due to the printer’s minimum order policy I now have a few sticker sets available, so if you’re looking for a simple and nice-looking (imo…) option, you can grab these with a 25% discount - use code ELEKTRONAUTS at checkout. Cheers!
Iam in!
Normaly i would have made such things on my own, enjoying the creative process and result, but currently i got no time for such even little projects.
Thanks!
No plans for different colours. I’d originally wanted to do them the same blue-green as the Func button but that would’ve been too overpowering for me. It still needs to work visually as a 16-step seq, and other colours broke up the step ‘flow’ too much for my personal liking. As for the adhesive, it’s robust! They’re vinyl material so are much easier to remove than paper stickers. I did remove a few after applying them and they were fairly simple to remove without leaving residue, but I can’t guarantee you’ll have the same experience. If I were worried about that, I’d avoid sticking things on it! For me, it’s not a concern as I don’t intend to remove them. Cheers
Thanks! I forgot about that feedback stuff. Wonder how it’d differ now we have amp env triggering… will have another sesh and post the results if it’s any good
