Stereo Samples

Hey hey!

I’m loading up split left and right samples and panning them left and right in the RYTM. I was wondering: in C6 does it matter if I choose the L+R, L or R option when I upload the samples?

Also when I pan the two samples left and right it they do sound different than playing them back from the DAW. Anyone found a good solution to play back stereo samples or widening mono samples?

Thanks!

I don’t know about the C6 left and right thing, another feature I will have to try out.

But you can process samples in many different ways, including merging and splitting left / right tracks using Audacity.

If you pan a stereo sample from left to right it will sound different because your ears receive the sound waves at slightly different times and at slightly different volumes etc.

As far as I know, the only way you make a mono sample sound like stereo is to add reverb to it.

The pingpong delay works pretty good on making stabs and synths stereo actually. The problem is that it’s not the real thing

Like so:

I would use my computer and first normalize the stereo sample, convert to 16bit 48kHz stereo and then save left and right channel to separate mono files before sending them to the Analog Rytm.

Less suprises then letting C6 handle the conversion.

Thanks for this. Actually this approach yields the best results but now I need to use a lot of kits
