Stay on pattern selection page?

Is this not possible? I’m playing piano at the same time and it’s super annoying to have to manually go to the pattern page and then only be given 2 seconds to select something…Looking for a one button solution. There is no way to lock on the pattern page?

Chains and song mode. You can stay in the song mode edit page without activating song mode.

This way, all your patterns are there in front of you and you just click on the pattern you want to play and it plays next.

You can also set it to repeat patterns and mute specific tracks - even for duplicates of the same pattern. For example, you can copy and paste A1 five different times and have individualized mutes for each copy. Good stuff right here.

Chains don’t follow the Direct Change setting though (Direct Jump is what I want), so it’s not really good for immediate/live switching…

Was wondering the same end ended up here. Sorry for bumping this old thread. Is this still the only way? Maybe I misunderstood. djadonis stated you can click on the pattern. But it seems you have to navigate to the row and press enter. AFAIK you cannot select song rows with the pattern knobs. You might as well use bank and select the pattern if that is the case.
Generally speaking I feel that the default pad function of trig keys is redundant on the Rytm (in contrary to the Digitakt where this is the only way) since the (amazing) pads already do that. I’m new to the Rytm though I might be wrong. BTW I do love the song mode, especially coming from Digitakt.

Multimap can allow you to change patterns by midi notes, so you could set up a midi controller for pattern changes, possible through overbridge plugin also using channel 16

Thanks for your quick reply. I already played around with that since I want to change patterns from my DAW too. It’s just that when jamming the Rytm, it would have been nice if you could jam patterns while they are in front of you. Like you can on the TR-8S
