I’m sorry but a voice-over is not really an option for me. English is not my native language so it would sound with a terrible dutch accent.

Would I be right to say that it’s a confidence thing SB-SIX? I think you should try it out, it’s like spelling, who cares if you misspell a word in a sentence, it’s what that sentence says. The same should be said for your voice over, your accent doesn’t matter, it’s the message you’re sharing and perhaps you might find that we will like your accent. Come on, give it a go.

Love the track so far - especially digging those sweet vocals - can you explain here a bit more detail of how you are approaching the one-shot fills? It’s not entirely clear from the video even after I stop-rewind several times

The one-shot trigs are triggers that only run once after you press “yes”. So in one pattern, you could have a beatloop running, and by placing a oneshot with no volume, you mute the track at that trigger. Or place samples/beats there to get stutter fx, fillins etc.

you can place a oneshot by pressing function + a normal trigger. The red light from the trig will turn yellow.

When in grid record mode and pressing “yes”, only the active track oneshots are armed. When grid mode is off and you press “yes”, all oneshots on all tracks are armed.

Would you consider doing the same for the Analog Four in near future, please? These type of tutorials are really great especially for those of us totally knew to Elektron Instruments and thanks for taking the initiative and time to do this. Please consider the A4 Tutorial Series, and if not, would be lovely if someone else would take same approach for A4. Thanks!

Had a quick view of the first one; and I must say it was great. Really well done.

However, I find it a bit disconcerting with all the silence / text cues; a voice over would be excellent, and I’d dig a heavy dutch accent.

Cheers man, yes there will be more. First i’m building a cool liveset, then new tutorial vids. To be frank, i’m not sure I’ll do part 5 soon. I lost a little bit of interest in the song that came out. I didn’t practice anything so i had to make up a tune in a few seconds, and changing alot if stuff would break the series.

THIS…This right here…it one of the best tips I have heard !!! wonderful stuff for my realtime work, I can have a basic drum pattern then drop over some one shots to make things more crazy and just trig this second version everytime I am in need of a build up …superb work !!
