Stange noise with slow attack technique

Hi,
I am trying to trig a machine’s volume with a rise because
I want a slow attack on a layered kick.
But some kind of clicking occurs, it sounds more like a bit reduced artifacts actually.

I don’t know why it’s happening.

Here is the steps to reproduce this thing :

-In a blank pattern I load a first EFM BD machine on 1-BD,
I put a short decay (35) and set TRIG POS to 2-SD

-On 2-SD I load a TRX BD machine with a long decay.

I have the two elements of my layered drum.

-Now I set 1-BD lfo :
destination 2-SD volume, Trig, Shmix turn at 127 on a rise envelope, depth at 127 and speed at 110, just to skip the 2-SD attack.

-Now the 1-BD’s lfo skips the 2-SD attack when I trig 1-BD.
But I hear this strange sound, sounding like bit reduction artifact. This sound has nothing to do with 2-SD attack because it’s also there when I put a slower lfo (like 85).
And the same thing happens when 2-SD lfo is triggering its own volume btw.

Am I doing something wrong ? Does anyone else has this annoying sound ?

I have seen someone (possibly someone involved with the unofficial firmware) use a name for this, it was considered some kind of bug but I forget what they called it. But yes it’s normal behaviour. Maybe you can get a slow attack effect by having filter width be the LFO target?

Yes that could be a workaround.
I’ll try.
