As much as I love the Digi’s form factor, the devices are often easier to use when angled. So here is the thread where we can discuss stand solutions for the TV.
Here are two stands that I have owned for quite some time:
First, I tried out the Roadworx stand from Thomann. It can hold the TV and another small device (in my case, the MM2 - note that the MM2 is powered from the TV so finally I got a power switch for this amazing tiny synth):
My 2nd (and prefered) solution is that cheap device stand from the Ikea Obegrändsad line. The stand fits so well as if it were made for the TV. Unfortunately, it is no longer available new:
I‘m just using a piece of hard cardboard that’s angled and came with a baby stroller . Works great, doing the same with my digis. I wouldn’t recommend buying a stroller to get a piece of cardboard . But it’s always a good idea to look closely at packaging material that is a bit more sturdy. You can see it in the left corner peaking out behind TV:
Otherwise, I‘m usually using cheap laptop stands for all my gear because I also need an angle. There’s plenty of these available, but look up whether the angle is fixed or flexible. Makes all the difference imo.
Thanks for the IKEA tips, I bought one a long time ago for bigger devices (analog rythm MK2 and analog rythme mk2) and it was too small, but let’s try with tonverk
On the other hand can you tell me How to connect the MM2 with tonverk, I have tryed but not found How to control the MM2 and use the tonverk keyboard together
NoizziHardwood makes beautiful handcrafted stands for Elektron products, including one for the Tonverk, that you can buy on Etsy. As you can imagine from my description, these stands are NOT cheap.
It’s just one of the cheap laptop stands I mentioned. You have to be a bit more careful with Nina though, only one of the models I have doesn’t bend under Nina‘s weight when angled.
Cover was custom made buy the guy who used to run feltlab.de. Owners changed though and I don’t know if they still have the blueprint. Just check their website if it’s listed and if not, contact them (if you’re living in DE/EU that is).
I use one of these extendable stands each for DT and TV. They are absolutely fine and very stable but you can probably find something a little lighter for live setups.
I can agree on this. While the Roadworx thing from Thomann is cheap and will work (not only for 2 Digis but also 1 Digi + 1 TV) the Noas are really really well build, they are more expansive yeah, but having one you see immideately why. They are well though out from top to bottom.
