Just to check if anyone experience uneven pad responsiveness, like em’ they dont always trigger at the same amount of pressure across the 16 pads.

Question for the crowd. When I’m in song mode and delete a section the pad goes dark. How do I get rid of the dark pads where I’ve deleted sections?

All Maschines , versions 1 till 3 suffer from this. It’s sad to read this also happens in the + versions.

What’s New – Maschine 3.3.1 on Maschine+

Maschine+ just leveled up. The latest 3.3.1 update brings the power of the Maschine 3 desktop engine to your standalone hardware; unlocking a unified creative platform, improved performance, and smarter workflows built for the future.

Unified Maschine Engine

Maschine+ now runs the Maschine 3.3.1 engine, the same software as the desktop version. That means:

  • Shared feature sets with desktop
  • A future-ready foundation for modern workflows and content
  • A consistent creative experience, whether you’re working on your laptop or standalone

Bounce In Place – CPU-Saving Workflow

Render heavy plugins to audio directly on-device, save CPU while retaining creative flexibility.

  • Bounce individual plugin sounds or full groups.
  • Kontakt 8 / Play Series compatibility, coming soon

Bass Synth Gets an Upgrade (for standalone and software users)

Maschine’s built-in Bass Synth refined:

  • New second oscillator for richer tones
  • Detune & mix controls for layered textures
  • Glide toggle is now available directly in the Mixer UI

Custom Chords in standalone mode

  • Create your own chord sets without being connected to a computer
  • Move your custom chord set to and from Maschine 3 desktop and Maschine+

Custom tempo per scene

  • Now it is easier than ever to set up complex song transitions with a different tempo in each scene

Kontrol MK3 & Massive NKS2 Support

Maschine+ now fully supports the Kontrol S-Series MK3, and NKS2 with Massive, giving deeper parameter control of Massive on both Maschine+ & Kontrol S-Series MK3 devices.

Expanded File Format Support

Import or export in more formats with Maschine+:

  • Import: MP3, MP4, FLAC, OGG
  • Export: MP3 now supported for the first time

Accessibility Improvements (New NI Accessibility Helper)

The NI Accessibility Helper has been updated to provide a smoother, more integrated experience for visually impaired users (For Maschine+ in Controller mode and Maschine MK3):

  • Runs automatically in the system tray — no need to launch separately
  • Automatic hardware detection — just plug in and go
  • Simplified user flow: Toggle accessibility voice overs on / off directly from the hardware
  • Still supports all key features like zone navigation, voice feedback, and Tour Mode

Better Performance, Lower CPU

You’ll notice faster parameter updates and smoother performance — especially when connected with Kontrol MK3.

Ableton Link over USB

  • Your Maschine+ in standalone mode can now connect to your Ableton link setup without the need for WIFI

Not Included: Stem Separation

While it’s high on our list, Stem Separation isn’t included in this release.

How to get started

  • Maschine 3 License Required
To activate new features, ensure you own a valid Maschine 3 license. Get your copy here.

  • Update Your Device
On Maschine+, go to Settings > System, then follow the prompts to install:

  • Native OS 2.0.0
  • Maschine Software 3.3.1

You will need to register your device again as you need a new activation for Maschine 3

Does it say anything about Kontakt 8 yet?

DLing ASAP!! I just hope the transition from v2 to v3 wont be a buggy mess… Complete version parity with Maschine desktop going forward is something I’ve waited for since this instrument was released, its finally here!

I thought this update for maschine plus hardware was free? Only on the desktop there was an update price. Or am i wrong here?

Other than that, happy that there is finally some movement for that great piece of kit. But again, some features still missing …

So far this looks like the only Native Instruments device I’m willing to buy. Then again, the company specializes more heavily in software. Not that that’s a bad thing, but I would prefer to center my workflow on hardware for the time being. Only the MPC One+ would be a viable alternative, considering how both have a similar form factor and workflow.

I will hold off for a bit in the hopes that the public outcry will make them discount the Maschine 3 upgrade for M+ users.

Edit: just looked and it’s back down to $29 from $69 last time I looked.

Great news that the update is finally here. Not free though, but info was a little sketchy on pricing for existing owners anyway.

I held off on a&b testing as I didn’t have time, but seems it’s a paid upgrade now and I expect testing needed version 3 on the computer anyway, so no loss as I was never interested in that to begin with and £25 isn’t too expensive (for just 3, without extras) and maybe cheaper than it was before, so all good.

Hopefully the new User Chords will negate the need for me to buy a Chordcat, although I expect that would actually work better for finding user chords across lots of gear much easier, but lets see if the community uploads interesting chord sets to import.

This guy says Kontakt 8 & Play instruments will come in the future. Hell yeah!

It is free if you have the Maschine Desktop Version 3. So you do not have to buy it again for the Maschine+

I guess that is fair. I paid 29 for the upgrade.

Anyone here grab the Maschine Central? If so, is it worth it on the M+?

Edit: I see that Central “will be added ASAP” so I guess I’m curious if anyone has used it/love it on the software side.

I found this video helpful.

so what is everybody’s take on the update?

If you want more traditional instruments on the M+ (decent Pianos and that), I can recommend the Maschine Central. Its got some “gretest hits” type of selections from the Komplete collection. I think its a good complement for the genre-specific expansions that otherwise are available

Wha do you mean added asap?
I bought it and I can download it on M+

Yeah, in fact Maschine Central worked on the M+ as soon as Maschine 3 for desktop was released. I’ve been using it since, it doesnt require Maschine 3 (ie it was probably authored with Maschine 2)
