Squarp Pyramid & Digitakt

Hello folks,
is here anybody who uses Squarp Pyramid as a master sequencer and Digitakt as a slave drum sampler?
If so, I would appreciate your advice

I use Pyramid as a main brain for all my hardware and software (Volcas, MS20, BassStation, Ableton Live etc.), recently I added Digitakt.

Everything goes smooth as I expected, except one thing: I am not able to figure out how to MUTE/UNMUTE Digitakt tracks internally from DT when tracks are triggered from Pyramid (external midi sequencing - chapter 8.4 MIDI NOTES DT manual). Muting of DT track (in both mute modes: global & pattern) do not mute track when it is triggered from Pyramid.

I would really appreciate any idea/suggestion/workaround

Thanks.

Lukas

I would like to hear that answer too! So far I found them a really powerful combo. The Squarp’s midi LFO’s work wonders for the Digi. One thing to watch out for is if you are using Program Changes on the Squarp make sure they are placed one bar before the next sequence starts. Took me ages to figure that one out!

Have fun!

In order to mute a track on the digitakt when it’s being sequenced from the pyramid you would need to mute the sequence on the pyramid. Muting a track on the digitakt does not prevent the audio from playing but the sequencer events from triggering. Since it’s not the digitakt sequencer playing, muting the track on the digitakt will not prevent the pyramid sequence from triggering the digitakt.

You could send the appropriate cc from the pyramid to zero out the volume on the digitakt track you want muted.
