Creative collaboration certainly gets my juices flowing. And with the intention of manifesting diversity and working against bigotry - I think the outcome might be very cool.
The starting point is certainly political. I’m not sure this forum is the place to discuss such topics. Maybe either of the moderators will help me out on that. But I say - let’s not debate the politics of this here.
But for those of us supporting the cause - I think we could make cool contributions with our skills and gadgets!
I’m 99% sure the discussion will unfold based purely on the grounds of the musical inspiration, but a polite reminder (trust me, i made this mistake recently and it ended up sour) that politics is one of those topics where it is best to think twice about what you say, there are no strict rules as such, just use common sense and above all keep the discussion inclusive and progressive (like your politics hopefully)
And thanks to @CarlMikaelBjork for making the same sentiment too
Listening to this track and thinking about the background and the intention … I had tears in my eyes … The track sounds like a very sad saying “goodbye”. It is again proof that music is the most direct way to express emotions without words.
I hope that some of the contributions will take the theme to a “get-up” and “fight for the right thing”…
I had my family to listen to the track yesterday morning…
My 5,5 year old daughter was pretty excited because it was the last school day of the year…
But she began to cry, telling me the music was so sad.
Okay. Let’s see some remixes of Squarepusher’s MIDI Sans Frontières…
Original song, stems, midi and score available on Squarepusher’s official website.
