"Spare no expense" drum machines?

…if we take “spare no expense” literatlly…and to actual grass roots of analog flavour…

i all comes down to two…queen and king…

ar and tempest…

but hey…the too sexy for my shirt price goes to…ercia replica sonic potions…
to stay honest…

I think we’re just not thinking big enough here.

Six of these will give you an awesome drum synth playground.

Hah, let’s set the bounds at one device at a time

It is only one device, x 6. :innocent:

Ok, we’ll, if you want to compromise, multiple MS-20s will make a good job of it too.

The 6 monosynths of Tempest are different than the 6 MS-20s or 6 2600s because there’s patch programmability.

BUT the Vermona DRM1 does not have patch memory… it does have knobs though

It’s been a fun semantic breakdown of the slippery indistinctness of “what is a drum machine?”

I mean one can build a drum machine rack, but i’m more into enclosed (not “shared” ;p) systems.

I’ll check out the latest Flux build, i’ve tried it in the past, but I tend to enjoy sequencing with Elektron style performance in mind over that and the Vermona randomrhythm.

Perhaps next year i can try out the Perkons for the layout if nothing else.
